Induced Lactation
Mothers adopting a baby will be able to breastfeed.
Mothers having a baby with the help of a surrogate will be able to breastfeed.
Not only is it possible, it is fairly easy and chances are you will be able to produce a significant amount of milk.
It is different, though, than breastfeeding a baby with whom you have been pregnant for many months. It is different, yet possible. You will be successful with the help of your Personal Lactation Consultant. She will be there for you every step of the way, you do not have anything to fear.
Re-Lactation
Mothers who are combination feeding (part breastmilk and part formula) their baby will be able to build back a full milk supply.
Mothers who have stopped breastfeeding their baby prematurely will be able to bring back a full milk supply.
Mothers who initially choose not to breastfeed will be able to build up a milk supply.
Not only is it possible, it is fairly easy and chances are you will be able to produce a full milk supply fairly quickly. No matter what the reason you originally chose not to breastfeed or introduced formula or stopped breastfeeding too early you will be successful exclusively breastfeeding your baby with the help of your Personal Lactation Consultant. She will be there for you every step of the way.
