Laurie Haessly has a Master's degree (MA) in Nutrition, is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) and an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). Laurie is a returned Peace Corps volunteer, has traveled extensively around the world and has much to be proud of. Laurie is MOST proud, however, of exclusively breastfeeding her 2 boys, Nate (now 29) and Kohl (now 27), into toddlerhood. Laurie's mission is to ensure all mothers are able to experience this deep satisfaction and be proud of their successful breastfeeding experience.
Laurie's love of babies drew her to the field of lactation where she has been helping and supporting breastfeeding mothers for over 25 years. Laurie was certified as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) in 1996 and has helped 1000's of mothers successfully breastfeed their babies.
Laurie is now retired from her full-time position. She was employed by the County of Riverside (CA), Department of Public Health's WIC Program for many years as the Lactation Services Director. Laurie's Public Health/WIC role is vast. Laurie sat on both the National WIC Association and California WIC Association Breastfeeding Committees. Laurie developed and oversaw the very popular Breastfeeding Cafes, Moms2Moms Groups and Sistah Connection Groups in Riverside County, California. Laurie also oversaw the exceptional Grow Our Our IBCLCs Lactation Consultant course. In her position with the County of Riverside, Laurie has received numerous "best practices" awards for the work she has conducted at the national, state and local levels. Recognitions include the Economic Research Service's "Innovative Breastfeeding Practices" award; the Princeton Mathematica Institute's "Best Breastfeeding Practices" award; and the Loma Linda University Perinatal Services Network's "Most Innovative Breastfeeding Promotion" award.

Kathleen Pickering, IBCLC
Lactation Consultant Best Fed Babies and Virtual Breastfeeding Help
Kathleen has 2 daughters, a son, a daughter-in-law,
son-in-law and 9 adorable, crazy, fun, wouldn’t know what to do without them
Kathleen is now retired but her passion for supporting
mothers, babies and families through their breastfeeding experience began when
she joined the County of Riverside, Public Health Department’s WIC Program in California
in 1996. She instantly had a heart for the mothers who desperately wanted to
succeed at breastfeeding but just needed a little encouragement, some hand
holding and a lot of love. In 2003
Kathleen became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, (IBCLC). Kathleen spent many years supporting women on
the Loving Support Breastfeeding Helpline, making home and hospital visits, teaching
breastfeeding classes and helping
Providers become Certified Breastfeeding Friendly offices .
Kathleen then went on to help to
develop and became the Breastfeeding Peer Counselor Program Coordinator for the
very successful Peer Counselor Groups, Sistah Connection, WIC@Work, Teen Scene,
Welcome Baby and Dads 4 Life. Kathleen successfully applied and received a
grant to develop and oversee the It’s a Connection Program, a mentoring program
that helped other WIC agencies start Breastfeeding Peer Counselor programs,
focusing on Peer Counseling groups. Kathleen then went on to become the WIC Agency

Kim Leonetti, BA

Business and Marketing Director
Kim was selected to sit on the Children's Hospital Los Angeles Bio-Ethics Committee. She was chosen as the first, and is the only, Parent Member of this extremely important committee. Kim is also an International Board Member of the MOVE (Mobility Opportunities via Education) Program which serves severely handicapped children and adults to sit, stand and walk.
Kim has a great deal of experience in the business and marketing arenas. Kim was the Public Relations Director of Holy Family Services Adoption Agency and Marketing Coordinator for both the title and escrow industries. Kim is a volunteer photographer for The Heart Gallery featuring portraits of foster children who dream of having a forever family through adoption.
Kim is also very experienced as a mother. Kim is the birth mother of Nicholas and the adoptive mother of 2 newborns - now young adults - Alex (26) and Kate (23).
